New Italian player takes to the UK pitch

Italy has a long and illustrious heritage for producing excavators, who could forget the famous Bruneri brothers Carlo and Mario, who designed their first wheeled hydraulic excavator back as far as 1948. It was often said that Mario Bruneri was the “father of the hydraulic excavator” with the Bruneri company pioneering the development of these machines in the region.

New Italian player takes to the UK pitch
In more recent years I have been keeping an eye on another Italian manufacturer who have been making steady progress in the design of their technologically advanced and stylish machines and expanding the markets they sell them in, that manufacturer is Eurocomach part of the Sampierana Group. I last saw these machines during a visit to the stand at Bauma earlier this year, but I had heard a rumour that they were poised to enter the UK market. DSC_0300 During the recent visit to Hillhead the rumour was confirmed as an example of the company’s advanced 6 tonne class offering the ES60 TR was displayed on the Engcon stand by the new importer of the range Exc@v8, the Cumbrian based business headed by Managing Director Tom Lomax. DSC_1635 Of course it’s a machine we would relish getting a chance to spend some stick time on in the future, but it all depends on who gets to it first! As they say on TV “the chase is on!” In the meantime check out this corporate video from the Italian company taken during Bauma.
