A customer has heralded the performance of JCB’s new and improved JCB 8018 mini excavator.

JCB 8018's are the ace choice for Staffordshire plant hirer
Staffordshire-based Ace line Plant Ltd has bought three of the new machines and after initial feedback from customers; the company is delighted with its purchase. The new JCB 8018 CTS is a conventional tailswing model that features more than 30 improvements providing reduced cost of ownership and greater productivity, safety and comfort. These include a 52% increase in load holding capacity and an 11% increase in dig depth. Ace Line Plant highlights the stability and digging performance of the new 8018 as key features that make it a popular machine among its customer base which mainly consists of general builders and block paving specialists. Additionally, the introduction of the 3-star Thatcham approved immobiliser system as standard across the JCB mini range has also been a major benefit, giving piece of mind when it comes to fleet management. Ace Line Plant Managing Director, Andy Earll said: “We have always run predominantly JCB kit as we like to support a local, British manufacturer and the availability of parts is second to none. “Our customers are big fans of the new 8018 models as the extending tracks give great stability and performance-wise when digging they show clear improvements on the previous models and are much better than competitive minis. Now we have seen the upgrades introduced by JCB on these machines, we will be ordering several of the new 8026 models too. ”Furthermore, now JCB offers the immobiliser system with single key operation across its mini excavator range we won’t go anywhere else – it gives us security, ease of use and protection of our investment – and that’s crucial for a plant hirer with a busy fleet.” The 8018 CTS and 8026 CTS models, were launched last year at Intermat last year in Paris, which is where I caught up with them on the JCB stand. Founded in 1997, Ace Line Plant has expanded its business and now runs an exclusively JCB fleet of 11 mini excavators including Micro, 8018 and 8030 models. It also offers a full range of tools and site equipment for hire from its Rugeley headquarters.
