Get more traction from a Moorend 4-Track

Our good friend from CBL Plant Sales, Charlie Oakhill recently told me about a Low Ground Pressure tracked conversion of a JCB telehandler, which is manufactured by a company based in Gloucester, whom I intend to visit for Earthmovers in the future.

Moorend Ltd are specialists in the adaption of four wheel drive vehicles offering a conversion to low ground pressure tracked machines. These machines cause much less ground surface damage than conventional wheeled machines, without making deep ruts in the ground often associated with wheeled machines. These low and wide profile machines appear to be the perfect solution for farmers and contractors who are working on difficult terrain, offering massive advantages over conventional wheeled models. Although only established as a privately owned business in 2013, the company has a wealth of specialist knowledge behind it, having worked with some of the biggest names in the construction and agricultural sectors in the UK, Australia and America in the past. The prototype machine, the Moorend 4-Track 3.2 tonne telehandler has been extensively field tested in some of the most demanding conditions possible and has proven to be a very capable piece of kit and one I am looking forward to visiting soon.
