I came across this video recently and figured it would make an interesting topic for the pages of the Digger Man Blog.

Doug Veerkamp Engineering Inc has been in business for over 30 years. The company who are based in Placerville, California, perform major excavation and earthmoving works, civil engineering including the building of retaining walls and asphalt paving. The family business includes Doug’s son Matt who as a youngster used to join his father working on the company’s Caterpillar equipment. The yellow machines are very dear to their hearts, so much so that in their spare time they recover and restore classic examples of Caterpillar tractors, so that future generations can enjoy them forever.
