High tech and high expectations with the new Cat excavators

I have had a number of requests for more photos of the new Cat 20 tonne class excavators, that we were introduced to in Malaga last month, so I’m very happy to oblige with this post here on the Digger Man Blog.

High tech and high expectations with the new Cat excavators
These Next Generation 20-ton size class excavators from Caterpillar will according to the manufacturer, increase operating efficiency, offer lower fuel and maintenance costs, and improve operator comfort when compared to previous models. These new high-tech excavators will offer unique combinations of purpose-built features designed to match customers’ productivity and cost targets. The new Cat 320 raises the bar for efficiency with integrated Cat Connect Technology that advances productivity gains. Standard built in technology combined with the aforementioned lower fuel and maintenance costs, will deliver low-cost production in medium- to heavy-duty applications. The new Cat 320 GC is likely to appeal to rental fleet sectors and those whose production demands are not quite as high as others. The machine looks set to combine the right balance of productivity features with reduced fuel consumption and maintenance costs. The result is high reliability and low cost-per-hour performance. At the top end of the scale the new Cat 323 boasts standard integrated Cat Connect Technology and the most power and lift capacity in the line, enabling the machine to deliver high levels of production and performance. Check out this new video about the Next Generation of Cat excavators below and look out for a more in-depth first drive report in next month’s edition of Earthmovers Magazine.
