How a GPS dozer really works

Our friend and internet plant and machinery legend Pushysix from Calgary in Canada explains to us all just how GPS systems work.

I know many of us of a certain age are finding it hard to come to terms with GPS and machine control systems in general and I certainly include myself in that bracket, its all totally mind blowing stuff! However, they are the future and its already here and now and is only going to get bigger and bigger over the coming years, just like all the new and innovative stuff we have seen rolled out over the past three decades.

Getting people to understand how it all works is the hard part, but by using guys at the coal face like Pushysix and our own UK based GPS ambassador Jason Snaith to talk about these things in laymen’s terms is, in my opinion, the best way to promote it to the other guys who use the kit day in and day out. By my own admission, I was pretty rubbish at school, spending most of my time looking out the window at diggers, with maths being my real Achilles heal of a subject and I think its that part of it all that I find so daunting.
