JCB’s Teleskid reaches out in Europe

JCB’s innovative Teleskid compact telescopic tracked skid steer has been available in the North American market for over a year now and the good news is that it is now available for European customers.

Never slow on bringing new ideas and concepts to the table, JCB are always at the forefront of innovation and their new Teleskid is yet another game changing piece of kit! The 3TS-8T Teleskid to give it its full title, offers a maximum load height of 4.1m and an impressive forward reach of 2.25m which totally transforms conventional skied steer operations. The tracked variant was a logical addition to the range following on from the success of the 3TS-8W wheeled version and is a totally different beast with its low ground pressure rubber tracks making it suitable for a wide variety of tasks in varying ground conditions. The Teleskid is powered by JCB’s proven 4.4-litre EcoMAX diesel engine, delivering 55kW (74hp) and 400Nm of torque. The engine meets US Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IIIB emissions standards. The machine sits atop a solid undercarriage with twin-speed track motors, offering a maximum travel speed of up to 7.8mph. The wide, traction lug rubber tracks provide maximum grip in difficult ground conditions, while delivering reduced ground pressure, when compared to a wheeled machine such as a small telehandler or a forklift. Another big bonus for end users is JCB’s unique side cab entry, which is much safer for the operator especially for those of us of a certain age, lets face it, who wants to be climbing over the work tools to access the cab. Add to that the versatility to add a wide range of attachments its easy to see that the JCB Teleskid is without doubt a game changer!
