On Tuesday, Mr Mark Houghton, managing director of Law Plant & Tools of Kidderminster & Wombourne, and Richard Johnston, Area Salesman for Ammann Equipment Ltd, struck a deal to supply 6 new Yanmar  excavators, which will join the company’s extensive hire fleet. Mark Houghton MD, Law Plant Ltd (left) and Richard Johnston area salesman for Amman Equipment Ltd, complete the deal at Plantworx. The deal includes 2 x Vio33 3.4 tonne, 2 x Vio50 5 tonne, and 2 x Vio80 8.0 tonne models. This latest order of new equipment, is part of an ongoing programme of reinvestment and expansion of the Law Plant rental fleet, and is in addition to several other Yanmar excavators and Ammann compaction orders that have already been delivered this year. Talking to the Digger Man Blog, Mr. Houghton said, "after introducing several other excavator brands into our fleet over the years, it was recently decided to consolidate with just one manufacturer.  The decision to go solely with Yanmar was based on several factors, including the excellent machine quality & reliability, stock availability, customer acceptability, the good after-sales and low lifetime cost of ownership".
