Old Euclid/Terex “Green Lizard’s” get fired up

If you love motor scrapers and enjoy the sound of old Detroit Diesel engines you are going to love this video I came across over the weekend.

This video and photograph come to us courtesy the Daily Diesel Dose You Tube channel and features some ageing Terex S-24 motor scrapers being run up after a long period of inactivity. The S-24 was the single engine variant of the famous TS-24 and featured a Detroit Diesel 12V71 motor at the front of the machine. Its rated load capacity was the same as its twin engined brother at 24 cubic yards but was much more reliant on having a dozer to push load. So, sit back, crank up that volume and revel in the sound of those screaming Detroit Diesel power-packs! Its no wonder all the old boys who used to drive these things are now deaf!
