Precision hot dog preparation with excavator (Blog Post Re-Visited)

Another great video has appeared on the internet showing the silky smooth skills of a Finnish excavator operator for a national television advert.

This rather eye catching footage features in an advert for Norwegian fuel station chain Statoil, and shows the assembly of one of its famous in store hot dogs in a rather un-traditional way.

The operator is using an 8 tonne class Caterpillar 308E 2 hydraulic excavator, which in true Scandinavian style features a Rototilt tiltrotator c/w selector grab. The operator displays great skill and precision as he adds the various components including lettuce, sausage, BBQ sauce and onion to the bread roll before gently placing the completed hot dog into his colleague’s mouth!
