Cats on parade at Bauma

I have had a few requests for some more shots of Cat equipment on display at Bauma, well I aim to please so here goes with a selection of machines from inside the impressive stand inside Hall B6.

Cats on parade at Bauma
Largest excavator on the Cat stand at Bauma this time around was the new 6015B, a 100 tonne class hydraulic mining excavator which is said to offer class-leading speed and power. This machine is designed for loading Cat 773, 775 and 777 rigid mining trucks. DSC_0200 Talking of triple 7 trucks, Caterpillar displayed its latest version of the 777 with its G series variant. This latest model of the iconic truck is powered by a Cat C32 ACERT Tier 4 emissions compliant engine offering a net power output of 916.0hp. Body capacity is 83.8yd3 and its maximum payload is 108.2 tonnes. The machine was displayed with the equally impressive Cat 992K wheeled loading shovel which is an ideal match for this size truck. DSC_0198 The new Cat 352F XE features a whole host of Caterpillar’s so called “Smart Iron” technologies including Adaptive Valve Control (ACS) which is described as the brains of the hydraulic system and is said to be able to cut fuel consumption by up to 15% when compared to a standard 352F L model. DSC_0121 The Cat 352F L XE’s standard equipment includes other latest Cat technologies such as Cat Grade Control and Payload, so fleet managers can easily access machine data through the interface VisionLink.  The machine is powered by a Cat C13 ACERT EU Stage IV emissions compliant engine with a power output rating of 317kw (431hp) DSC_0120 Outside the hall we spotted two examples of 313F’s which could cause some confusion. First up we had the 313F L GC which has been around a while now and was designed especially for the rental sector. A simpler machine which does not require and AdBlue fuel additive. DSC_0282 And next to that conventional looking model we had the new 313F L. This machine is the replacement for the 312E and has the same working envelope as the outgoing model. Power comes from a Cat C4.4 ACERT Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IV engine of 68.5kw (92hp). DSC_0281 Caterpillar had over 64 different machines on display at Bauma and a visit to their stand is always a delight. Check out this excellent highlights video from Cat.
