New Swedish machinery fair looks set to impress

An all new machinery fair will open its doors to the public in Sweden next month. Entreprenad (Construction) Live will take place 4th- 6th September in Gothenburg.

The brainchild of Swedish business man Peter Eriksson, Entreprenad Live will take place biannually in one of two venues, one on the West Coast of Sweden and one in Southern Sweden. This inaugural event will take place in Gothenburg this year, followed by Malmo/Skane the next year. This first event has attracted all the big names in the industry including Caterpillar, Case, Doosan, JCB, Hitachi, Hyundai and Take-Job (Takeuchi) to name a few, in fact over 250 exhibitors will be displaying their products at the show, with many stands featuring live digging plots, where customers can get hands on with the machines in a real life dig scenario. Work is now well advanced preparing the area before next month’s event. In common with many machinery shows these days, there will also be seminars and product demonstrations taking place to offer visitors an in-depth view of the construction machinery market’s latest technology. In addition some of Sweden’s biggest names in construction plant and machinery products will be exhibiting including Engcon, Huddig, Indexator, Steelwrist and Volvo. Entreprenad Live can even offer a 1 km long test track for visitors to try out the latest trucks from Volvo, Scania, MAN and Mercedes Benz in addition to a wide variety of cars. It promises to be a real Top Gear style event!  Check out this trailer video about the event. Volvo has tested their new cars there for three decades. The exhibition grounds are easily accessible at Hisingsängen trail only 15 minutes from the centre of Gothenburg. It looks like it’s going to be a great event and the Digger Man Blog is hoping to make it for a taste of the action.
