Raymond Brown invests in new Volvo kit

Ringwood based Raymond Brown Group has taken delivery of new Volvo construction machinery including new D & E Series excavators and an H series wheeled loader.

Raymond Brown’s latest package of six machines includes three Volvo EC220D 22 tonne excavators, two E series EC250E 25 tonne excavators and a Volvo L150H loading shovel. These machines represent a partial replacement plan, but also an increment to the Group’s overall mobile fleet since its recently secured additional long-term contracts. The deal continues a long standing tradition of operating Volvo equipment, according to group plant manager, Nick Moth, “We are pleased to have been associated with Volvo equipment for over 25 years.  Our latest investment confirms our future growth plans for the business and these new items of plant are exciting additions to our fleet.” Nick continued, “The build and overall performance, coupled with the excellent operating costs were key considerations.” The three EC220D excavators will be deployed in an aggregate quarry, a sand / gravel pit and a recycling facility belonging to Raymond Brown, whilst the new Volvo EC250E excavators and L150H loading shovel will be engaged in long-term Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) Processing contracts at locations across Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
