Stuck for something to do this Bank Holiday Monday? Why not build yourself an excavator.

I came across this video on You Tube recently which shows footage of a Swedish guy called Fredrik who has built his very own fully operational hydraulic excavator. Whilst he is not the first to attempt to build a homemade excavator I must say this is one of the best I have seen so far. Fodere Details are sketchy but the machine named as a Fodere, is thought to have taken him a year to build from scratch. Whilst crude looking the machine has everything a small builder, farmer or land owner could need for general excavation work and as one might expect from one of our ingenious Swedish friends, it is even sporting its own tilt-rotator.
