As happy as a Volvo in a sand pit!

Here is a great bit of Volvo video footage from our friend Lasse Holst who runs the Danish Construction Channel on You Tube and Facebook.

This Volvo EC480DL is working in Asklev Stenleje gravel pit in Denmark where it is removing a layer of silt to gain access to the finer sand below. The machine is throwing the material over the side to where a Volvo L220G wheeled loader is removing it to be processed through a screener. [youtube width="725" height="344"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bjFdbb29BI[/youtube] I was lucky enough to spend a brief spell on a Volvo EC480D during a visit to Lorient in France with Volvo back in 2012. As confirmed in the footage above the big machine is very quick for its size and the hydraulics were super smooth in operation.
