A Doosan history lesson

Next week I will be making my first ever visit to the Doosan/Bobcat Innovation Centre in Dobris in the Czech Republic, this got me thinking about the history of Doosan and with that in mind I took to the internet to see what I could find.

Like most Korean construction machinery manufacturers Doosan has come along way since the early days and today their products are highly regarded by many loyal customers around the world. Doosan is a massive concern and is regarded as the oldest company in Korea with 121 years of history. Doosan acquired the Daewoo brand in 2005 a name that was well known in the UK market and the products have gone from strength to strength since then.

Doosan Infracore, the Pioneer of the Korean Machinery Industry, celebrated its 80th Anniversary last year. Initially formed as the Chosun Machine Works in 1937, Doosan Infracore has continually developed to become Korea’s most well-known construction machinery brand. The following video features the company’s 80 years of history with notable landmark developments.
