CASE short radius comes up trumps for M&J Plant

Digger Man Blog guest reporter Kenneth Hatcher has sent in a batch of photos direct from his site featuring a new arrival on the job.

CASE short radius comes up trumps for M&J Plant
M&J Plant & Transport Ltd based in New Tredegar, South Wales have recently taken delivery of a number of CASE excavators from Welsh dealer LDH Plant, including a 15-tonne class CX145DSR which has been put to work on hire To KW Bell Contracting on a Redrow Homes site in Newport. The Sumitomo based CASE CX145DSR uses well proven Japanese components and is powered by a 4-cylinder Isuzu AR-4JJ1X water-cooled, high pressure common rail system (electric control), turbocharged diesel engine which offers a power output rating of 76.4kw (102hp) @2000rpm, on the hydraulics front, Kawasaki hydraulic pump and KYB valve blocks, provide the power and precision. The machine has been supplied with a Geith fully automatic quick hitch and a set of Geith buckets. Long term backhoe loader operator Kenneth took a look around the machine over the weekend and was impressed with it saying, “I really liked the comfortable seat in the cab, but overall I found the cab a bit on the small side, in operation its an incredibly smooth machine to operate, with impressive performance! On the downside I found the visibility over the offside rear wasn’t great, but the machine does have two cameras to facilitate the view to the rear and offside which you would get used to using”. The regular operator on this machine is Tim Whyberd, who has been working for M&J for around 3 years but has been in the plant game for over 20 years operating a wide variety of plant and also including spells on railway work. Talking about his new mount Tim said, “I really like it very much, its quiet, quick and smooth as silk to operate!” The Digger Man Blog would like to thank Kenneth and M&J Plant & Transport Ltd for the material used in this blog post.
