“Trackzilla” it’s a bit of a Beast!

Something a bit different here on the Digger Man Blog today, with a unique machine we spotted at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas last year.

“Trackzilla” it’s a bit of a Beast!

ConExpo-Con/Agg was the debut venue for Xtreme Manufacturing’s gigantic XR50100-G tracked telehandler. This machine like no other has been nicknamed “Trackzilla” and it certainly is a machine of monster proportions in the telehandler world, with a maximum working height of 100 ft (30m) and maximum lifting capacity of 50,000 lbs. (22,679kg).

This quad tracked beast was developed by Xtreme in conjunction with construction technology firm BZI and offers record breaking height and lifting capacity, previously impossible with standard telehandler technology.

This one-of-a-kind machine is currently going to work on a large project in Savannah, USA, where it is expected to do a lot of the lifting work that conventional cranes would have been required to do previously.

Checkout this interesting video that documents the story of the development of this giant telehandler.
