Which machine is your #MyCatHero?

Caterpillar dealer Finning UK & Ireland have been running a competition where you are invited to post a photo of your favourite Cat machine and in return you can win exclusive prizes, but time is running out!

Which machine is your #MyCatHero?
We’ve all been there and experienced it, that one machine that has really impressed you and made every day you sat in it a pleasure, well now is your chance to show and tell the world about that one Cat machine that really left a lasting impression, or maybe a current mount that you are operating today. By simply posting a photo of your Cat machine and a few lines of text on any of the Finning social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you could win prizes in the draw which takes place on 23rd March, including Cat merchandise! Check out the video to find out more about this competition.
I personally have experienced a number of favourite Cat machines over the years and I thought I would share two very different ones with you in this post. #MyCatHero first up is this Cat 390F L ME hydraulic excavator that I spent some time on in Malaga in 2014 during a launch event, this machine is probably the largest excavator I have ever been on and its raw power blew me away. Tearing into the ground that 6 cubic meter bucket was full in no time as the 524hp (391kw) Cat C18 ACERT engine purred away in the background, totally awesome! At the other end of the scale one of my old #MyCatHero machines was this old Cat D9G a photo I have posted many times before and has been shared by thousands of people on machinery forums around the world. I took this shot as a young lad in 1973/4 when I used to go to work with my father during construction of the M27 motorway in Hampshire. The D9G was owned by Pierce Earthmoving and featured the old rope-controlled blade, it was a beast of a machine and my endearing memory is of it powering up as the operator pulled the throttle towards him, prompting a plume of black smoke to erupt from the exhaust, just brilliant! Get involved, post your #MyCatHero photos on any one of these platforms .. On Facebook at Finning Equipment Solutions, On Twitter at Finning News, or on Instagram at Finning UK & Ireland.
