100th Scraper Order Celebrated
Scott Lidster our mate “Down Under” and owner of Australian Earth Training has very kindly shared some photos of what is a very significant motor scraper delivery to a legendary name in the Queensland earthmoving sector.
Quentin Birt purchased his first motor scrapers way back in 1978 when he took delivery of a 633C and a 613 from local Caterpillar dealers Hastings Deering. Now some 45 years later the business that trades as QH & M Birt has taken delivery of its 100th scraper which is the very latest 657 model.
To mark such a memorable milestone Hastings Deering had one of his new 657’s stickered up with a historical montage to the man and his machines, which covered the bowl, draft arms and the bumper.
Members of the Birt family gathered in front of the stunning machine for an all-important photo opportunity.
A spokesman for Hastings Deering commented, “Quentin has been doing business with us for 45 years and this delivery was worthy of a huge celebration and a custom wrap”.
I think you must agree, it’s a stunning looking tribute to such a long-standing customer and motor scraper user!
