2020 a New Era for the Digger Man Blog

Firstly, I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year, 2020 is going to be a very exciting time for the Digger Man Blog as we enter a new era not only for the platform but for the country as a whole as we now finally move on from the pre-Brexit mayhem!

The blog will resume to normal service next week, as I know that’s when a vast majority of you will be returning to work after the long Christmas shutdown. We are also delighted to now have support in the form of our new Digital Editor Kyle Molyneux, who is now responsible for online content at Sundial Magazines who host the Digger Man Blog, this is a welcome appointment and will assist me enormously as the blog continues to expand.

There are lots of things happening this year, with plenty of mouth watering shows in prospect around the world including, Conexpo in Las Vegas, which we are hoping to attend, Maskin Massan in Sweden and once again its Hillhead time here in the UK in June. We will of course as ever, be attending a wide variety of new product launches this year, probably kicking off with Caterpillar in Malaga, and with JCB celebrating 75 years in business this year, we anticipate something exciting from them too. I’m sure there will be many more interesting things to see and our regular site visits will continue too.

Over the Christmas period I was delighted to host Digger Man Blog member Kenneth Hatcher who came down to visit us at Diggers Digs and while he was here, take the opportunity to try out the Takeuchi TB235 and Engcon tiltrotator. Ken who usually operates a Doosan for KW Bell Group was very impressed with the smoothness of the Japanese built machine, describing it as a lovely piece of kit! We caught Ken going through the motions on the machine in this video footage.
