A real Rototilt convert

In this blog post I’m taking a look at a young operator who has embraced the merits of the tiltrotator concept in this instance from Swedish manufacturer Rototilt.

I first met Adam Howarth in 2009 when he was a member of the UK team competing in the New Holland Grand Prix event in Turin, Italy. Adam and his teammates Ewan Irvine and Gavin Wood acquitted themselves well in the competition gaining a number of individual placings, with Adam himself taking a second and third spot in two of the challenges.

Talented operator Adam, who is a regular at plant shows across the country, has certainly moved on a bit since those days and for the past 9 years he has been working for Lancashire based X & P Civil Engineering operating a Hitachi ZX225US excavator which is fitted with a Rototilt tiltrotator with full ICS system.

Adam says the tiltrotator has completely changed the way he approaches work and summarises by saying “There is definitely no going back, a tiltrotator is the way forward”, the forward thinking amongst us will related to Adam’s sentiment for sure.
