All Roads Head West for the Royal Cornwall Show

The countdown is well and truly on for the annual event of the year in Cornwall, as anyone who’s anyone in the West Country, will be making their way to the Royal Cornwall showground in Wadebridge a week today for the start of the 3-day extravaganza from 4th-6th June.

The Royal Cornwall Show has a long and proud history spanning over 200 years, incredibly having first been established by the Cornwall Agricultural Society in 1793! Its popularity today is stronger than ever, as it’s a real family focussed event with something for everyone, and in my humble opinion is the best show of its kind in the UK, so much so, that it now attracts people from all over the country, who make the annual pilgrimage down here to attend.

Naturally for me, its all about the construction machinery dealers trade stands, and there are always plenty of them to visit, as it’s become a massive shop window for such companies to showcase their portfolio of products to an eager and interested audience, it’s a show where deals are definitely done and contacts are made for potential future deals.

It’s also a chance for the numerous local groundworks contractors to show off their latest investments in machinery on the stands, and of course, we always look for those special showstopper machines, with fancy art work or wraps which give them that wow factor.

I will be doing my usual rounds popping along to see such dealers as CBL Plant Sales, Holt JCB, M&M Plant (Devon & Cornwall), Kellands Plant Sales, MPS (South West), MachineServe and many, many, more, and I will be reporting on my findings in a series of posts here on the blog post show.

Having whizzed back from an assignment in Sweden just a day before, I will be attending on the opening day on 4^th June, so keep an eye out on our Digger Man Blog social media platforms for posts and updates throughout the day, I’ll see you there!
