“Badass” Scraper Action!

Let’s face it, who doesn’t enjoy watching big scrapers in action, I know I do, but rarely get a chance to see them in the metal. However, thank God for the internet and films produced by the team at our friend Aaron Witt’s Buildwitt business, who produce top quality cinematic movies like no others.

There is something mesmerising about watching Cat’s largest scraper offerings the 657 in action, especially in a push pull configuration. For this movie Aaron and his team travelled to Jamestown, South Carolina, in the deep swamps area, where a limestone mining operation was ongoing.

Contractor Contour Construction and Mining were tasked with the stripping of the overburden and as you will see in the video, they are doing a fantastic job too.

I also like the way that Aaron talks viewers through how the push pull scraper set up works out in the field for those who may not be familiar with the machines, very informative and conducted in layman’s terms which is great for the viewer.
