Big Hitachi on the move in Sydney

Our good Australian friend and roving plant and machinery photographer Martin Grant has been out and about again on a night shift to catch a big piece of kit being moved.

Big Hitachi on the move in Sydney

Over the years here on the Digger Man Blog Martin has very kindly shared many stunning photos of machines in action in and around the Sydney area. Martin’s particular interest is heavy haulage, and as a testament to his dedication, he is often out late at night to capture these movements which are undertaken at that time to avoid the traffic in the city.

For his latest sortie, it was a 10.30pm start, to capture this base machine Hitachi EX1200 being shipped out of the city.

The machine, which is owned by New South Wales based demolition contractor Liberty Industrial, was on route to the town of Wallerawang, up in the Blue Mountains area West of Sydney, which coincidentally is where my eldest sister lives!

The machine had been working on a demolition project in Sydney, and had been stripped down for its next move.

Not one to miss any big haulage movements, Martin was out on a rainy night to document to move with his camera.

The Digger Man Blog would like to thank Martin for this latest share of his photos.

You can checkout a video of one of Liberty Industrials EX1200's in its full operational glory below.
