Bobcat 6-Tonner fits the Bill

An opportunity to test drive Bobcats new 6-tonne offering the E60 R2 is looming for me. The manufacturer, whose European facility is based in Dobris, Czech Republic is producing some great products in recent times, and I’m looking forward to trying this one out.

Described by Bobcat as their flagship model in the 5-6 tonne range, the compact radius E60 is actually a conventional tail swing design, but with very little overhang, just 280mm to be precise, making it ideal for todays urban congested job sites.

Powered by a Stage V emissions compliant 4-cylinder, what I assume is a “badged” Bobcat engine which offers a power output rating of 41.0kw. Bobcat describe the cab as the largest in its class, and it looks to have some nice features in terms of comfort and ergonomics.

Obviously with the Doosan ownership of Bobcat, we expect these models to soon be appearing in the Doosan line up too, a long overdue and much anticipated upgrade for their current 6 and even 8 tonne offerings.
