CASE Showcase the SV Backhoe Loader Range with New Video

Regular readers of Earthmovers Magazine will have seen my report on the new SV range of backhoe loaders from CASE Construction Equipment in the latest edition. Well now the manufacturer has released its latest video focusing on the key new features of the SV models.

CASE Showcase the SV Backhoe Loader Range with New Video

The new range is made up of three models: 580SV, 590SV and 695SV with outputs ranging from 96 to 110hp. All 3 models are fitted with the latest Stage 5 emissions compliant FPT F36 diesel engine.

One of the most noticeable features for me is the all-new cab which is wider than previous models and provides greater clearance for the operator’s legs when rotating the seat between forward facing and rear facing configuration.

A re-design to the left-hand cab console sees the wiper tank fitted beneath one of the new open tray storage units, enabling convenient refills via the left-hand door.

The new cab layout also features a relocated parking brake, new speedometer option, regrouped switches on the right-hand console, new integrated F-N-R switch in the loader control lever on the Power Shift model, new joystick roller switch for extending dipper operation and relocated stabiliser levers.

The FPT 3.6-litre engine’s High Efficiency SCR2 (Hi-eSCR2) aftertreatment system is said to be maintenance-free for the first 8,000 hours, and when teamed with the new Eco mode, contributes to 10% lower fuel consumption. Oil changes are now set at 500-hour interval; a new variable volume pump only provides oil when needed, helping to further reduce operating costs.

Checkout the new video from CASE for more details, or better still grab yourself a copy of the latest Earthmovers issue for my full report.
