Classic Bantam Excavator is a Credit to its owner

Garret Wilson is not only an earthmoving and excavation operator but he is also passionate about historical machines and has a collection of them which he has restored to a very high standard.

Garret who hails from Beaver Dams, in New York, is a professional equipment operator during the week and a keen enthusiast and collector of vintage equipment in his spare time. He has a stunning collection of machines including 3 motor graders and one towed model, and numerous excavators one of which is the stunning Schield Bantam C-350 cable-controlled excavator which he has lovingly restored to its former glory.

Garret has promised to send me some detail on the machine but in the meantime, I have come across this video on You Tube which see’s Garret skilfully operating the machine and is later joined by Chris Guins aka LetsDig18 who takes to the controls and discovers it’s a lot tougher to control than Garret makes it look.
