Dancing with Diggers

We have covered this French dance artists performances with diggers in the past on the old Digger Blog platform, but the video below was highlighted to me again over the weekend by Martyn Stenlake, so I though we would take another look.

We have all seen the famous dancing diggers, but what about people dancing with diggers? Well, Philippe Priasso has made a name for himself over the years for performing his Transports Exceptionnels ‘romantic’ dance routines with diggers from various manufacturers.

In this example from 2006 Philippe’s dance partner is what I suspect to be a Neuson 5-tonne class wheeled excavator from French rental business LOXAM, performed to the classical tones of Maria Callas, as she performs Massenet.

In those days there was probably no health and safety issues to worry about, and no risk assessment to undertake, just a daredevil performance with elements of strength, circus performance, ballet and acrobatics.

And you would have to say, a good level of trust in the operator and his smoothness of operation to ensure Mr Priasso walked away unscathed with all his limbs intact!

Its all pretty crazy stuff but strangely entertaining at the same time!
