DEVELON Backhoe Loader Anyone?

If you keep an eye on social media at all, you will more than likely have spotted the unusual sight of a DEVELON backhoe loader circulating around the various platforms.

I decided to do a bit of digging to find out more about this product from the South Korean manufacturer.

My understanding is that the DEVELON DB100AC (centre-mount) and DB100AS (Side-Shift) models are currently only available in less regulated regions due to the fact they are only fitted with an EPA Tier II (EU Tier II) 4-cylinder Perkins/1104C-44T 71kW (95hp) diesel engine.

The DB100AC has a maximum digging depth of 4,345mm and a maximum reach at ground level of 5,830mm. General purpose loader bucket capacity is 0.8 m³, while standard backhoe bucket capacity is 0.2 m³. Maximum road speed is rated at 34.0 km/hr.

This is pure speculation on my part, and probably not the case, but with the gap in the market left since Volvo CE ceased manufacture of their much-loved BL series backhoe loader some years ago, maybe there could be an option for DEVELON to expand their BHL sales region in the future?
