Develon’s DD100 Continues to Impress
Develon previewed their first entry into the dozer market, the DD100, back in late 2021, which comes as no surprise, as it does feel like it’s been around for some time now.
We saw the first production models arriving back in the summer of 2022, initially branded as Doosan, before transitioning into the Develon brand, which was launched during the ConExpo-CON/AGG event in Las Vegas in 2023.
The dozer which tips the scales at around 25,309 lbs (11,480kgs) depending on spec, has certainly made some friends in the industry, especially with customers who are already running other Develon machines in their fleet, as they look to standardise their fleets.
The dozer competes directly in the D3-D4 sized dozer category, and is a competitively priced option in the market.

Power comes from a Stage V emissions compliant 3.4-litre, D34 4-cylinder diesel engine, which offers a power output rating of 91kW (122hp).
The machine is supplied as standard with a 6-way variable angle pitch blade, and also features 2D grade control integration.
Having spent some time in the seat, I was impressed by the overall comfort and ergonomic control layout inside the ROPS/FOPS certified cab, which also offered exceptional all-around visibility, especially down to the blade thanks in part to the narrow and forward sloping bonnet. An 8-inch touch screen monitor provides the operator with all the information he needs and a rear-view camera display, for when reversing the dozer, thus improving site safety.
In the video below our good friend, Develon Product Manager Stephane Dieu talks further about the features of this compact dozer.
