DIGBITS Does Welland

Our good friend Marcus Clay of Rugeley based British bucket and attachment manufacturer DIGBITS, recently attended the Welland Steam Rally.

Welland Steam Rally has always been on my bucket list to attend but so far, I have never made it up for the annual event, I have my reasons, firstly the long drive up from the Devon/Cornwall border and the fact that most of my weekends are taken up working on creating blogs or articles for Earthmovers Magazine.

Welland Steam Rally is one of the largest events of its kind in the UK and this year’s show was its 59^th edition, and featured over 100 full-size steam engines and in excess of 500 vintage vehicles were displayed by their proud owners.

Of course, the big drawer for those of us who love heavy plant and machinery is the working classic plant demonstrations, where owners of such classic pieces of equipment, some fully restored and some which are a work in progress, put them to work for the benefit of the visitors.

DIGBITS Director Marcus, who is a super keen classic plant enthusiast, has joined the growing band of video creators and has put together this nice video from the day for us all to enjoy.
