Digger “Man” Blog passes another milestone

I have just realised that my blog has recently passed its 6th Birthday, which is yet another incredible milestone for something that initially started out as a bit of casual fun, but has since become a well-respected source of informative and interesting plant and machinery topics.

When the then online editor of Contract Journal Will Mann, first approached me about writing a blog in 2008, which he named the Digger Blog, I would never have imagined just where this journey was going to take me, or even how long it would last. It’s been an amazing experience and one that I treasure every day. It has given me the opportunity to meet some fantastic people, who have supported me all the way, (you know who you are) and to do things with machines that I would never have dreamt of doing, as I went about my business as a humble machine operator on the sites in Southern England. Along the way we have had to change the name slightly even though I do own the Digger Blog trade mark personally. But the format has remained the same, bringing original material to entertain our readers who often contribute photos and stories themselves. We don’t try to sell you merchandise nor are we interested in global internet domination! What spurs me on is sharing great material with a quality readership which we have in abundance. So it’s a big thank you to you the readers, who have helped to make the blog what it is today and here’s to the next 6 years of Digger Man Blog activity at our spiritual home on the Earthmovers Magazine website.
