Dreaming of a White Liebherr RC Dozer for Christmas
I’m not really a scale model collector in any way shape or form, but this remote-control dozer really caught my eye on You Tube over the weekend. And if you are looking for something really special for Christmas for the dozer man, or woman in your life, this could just be the one!
Now don't get me wrong, I know a lot of people get great pleasure from them, and they are a financial investment long term, but for me, scale models just tend to sit on a shelf collecting dust, although they do look impressive in a nicely displayed collection, especially in those popular glass cabinets that we see.
Now, a remote-control model however, would appear to be a lot more fun, and actively engaging. Having said that, there is a big range available in terms of quality, authenticity, and scale accuracy.

This tractor, which although not branded as Liebherr, is essentially an example of their 70-tonne class PR 776 High-Drive machine, which is the largest hydrostatic dozer in the world, and you have to say it’s a super impressive fully functional model.
The list of features on this S-Frog RC model is equally impressive as follows:
Equipped with automatic greasing system replicating full-size machinery lubrication structure. Features 2 grease pumps and 2 grease tanks, independently controlled via transmitter.
It delivers grease to hinge points including bucket pins and ripper pins to reduce dry friction wear of metal parts, combining practical function and high simulation.
High-precision hydraulic system equipped with single hydraulic pump, 7-ways directional valve and hydraulic cooler; built-in hydraulic automatic access ladder.
Highly simulated appearance constructed with 95% metal material. Comes with light system, sound system, electric front & rear wipers and high-definition central control LCD screen which displays vehicle fault codes.
6-way hydraulic dozer blade supports lift & lower, angle left & angle right, tilt left & tilt right for higher efficiency of side piling work. Fitted with single-share hydraulic rear ripper.

Automatic track straight-line correction: When moving straight, the controller dynamically adjusts output of left and right tracks to balance rotational speed and maintain straight travel.
Blade hydraulic auto-level system with switchable automatic/manual mode for blade horizontal and height control. Horizontal mode supports absolute horizontal zeroing or custom angle setting; height mode supports custom preset height. Bonus function: Blade automatically raises 20mm above preset height when reversing.
Included FrSky X20R transmitter paired with 24-channel receiver. Real-time data telemetry: voltage, current, hydraulic temperature, motor temperature and water-cooling status.

You would have to say it’s a fantastic miniature piece of kit, but unfortunately it looks like one would have to sell a kidney to afford it, as it costs a whopping £6,505 GBP! So sadly, it won’t be making it under my Christmas tree this year.
If Toucan RC Hobby just happen to stumble over this blog post, I'd be more than happy to receive one to test out!
