Electric Dreams with SANY at Plantworx

Just across the way from one electric mini excavator competition at Plantworx, we spotted another one.

We first caught sight of SANY’s 2-tonne electric mini excavator the SY19E at the Bauma Trade Fair in Munich, and earlier this year it made its UK debut at the Executive Hire Show in Coventry with sales reported on the stand.

At Plantworx 2023 SANY UK & Ireland chose the SY19E to be the star of their own challenge competition which involved dropping a steel rod suspended on a chain from the quick-hitch, into 3 tubes of varying diameters in the fastest time possible.

Once again there was a steady stream of operators of all ages, who were keen to put their skills to the test on this challenge, which in all fairness was trickier than it looked, especially when it came to the final tube which was very tight fit, so a gentle touch and precision of movements were the order of the day.
