Extreme job for Cat mini excavator

Another one of those photos that just leaves you gobsmacked has appeared on one of the social media platforms and its a shot that is well worthy of a spot here on the Digger Man Blog.

There is very little information about this photo, but it features what looks like a 4 or 5 tonne class Caterpillar mini excavator sat on a specially adapted cradle, suspended in the air by a crane as it nibbles away at a rock face somewhere in the world! The question is would you be brave or foolish enough to sit in and work this machine putting all your faith in a heavy set of chains? We have seen and posted similar shots to this before and it never ceases to amaze me that people are willing or crazy enough to do this kind of thing, I'm sure the risk assessment would make for interesting reading!
