Girl Power with Volvo ADT’s
I came across this video over the weekend while searching for something else I had in mind for the post, but it inspired me to create this piece.
The women are quite simply breaking down barriers on a site in Palu, Indonesia. On the massive Macmahon Poboya Project around 85% of all the articulated hauler operators are women, as they continue to show the world what inclusion in construction is all about!

Its often documented, that women make the best operators, they tend to look after the kit better than their male counterparts, and with a lack of testosterone flying around, they don’t tend to have that crazy boy racer mentality, that can cause unnecessary wear and tear on the equipment and more importantly accidents.
In the video below produced by Volvo Construction Equipment, we meet Zahra and Rizka, just two of this inspirational team of women.
