“Hands-On” Opportunity at Sunward

By the time you read this blog post this morning, I will be well on my way to the European headquarters of Sunward in Belgium, where I am going to be spending an action packed 12 hours, taking a look around the facility and trying out some of the Chinese manufacturers latest kit.

The list of Sunward machines being made available to both me, and my German friend and industry colleague Dirk Bömer is so extensive, I have no idea how we are going to fit them all in.

However, top of my list is going to be the SWE 155UF 2-PB which we first spotted on the Sunward stand at Bauma last year, and which made its UK debut at our very own Plantworx Show earlier this year.

Powered by a 90kW Cummins QSF3.8 Stage V emissions compliant diesel engine, this short radius model tips the scales at around 17-tonnes, and features the popular European style TAB (Two-Piece-Boom) configuration. The machines overall flexibility is further enhanced by the fitting of a Steelwrist tiltrotator, making it a mouth-watering combination for a “First Drive” feature in Earthmovers Magazine.

Other items of extreme interest to our readers will be the SWE 240FED 24-tonne electric powered hydraulic excavator, SWE 90UF compact 9-tonne class machine, which features an all-new cab, and especially popular for the UK market the SWE 25UF, 2.5-tonne compact radius mini excavator.
