High Profile Influence with Hyundai at Bauma

Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe chose Bauma 2022 to further enrichen its collaboration with a number of high-profile social media ‘influencers’ who joined them in Munich to add a bit of social media colour to what was already a stunning display stand.

High Profile Influence with Hyundai at Bauma

In a clever move by Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe, the social media influencers who included, Conor the Digger Driver, Martin the Norwegian Earthmover and the Digger Girl aka Amy Underwood were attending at different times over the course of the week, ensuring that there was always at least one of them on the stand to meet the visitors and to produce video content with.

And there was plenty of new kit on display for the influencer team to look around, not least the new range of A-Series mini excavators which were proud recipients of the prestigious Red Dot Design award for the distinctive ‘Tiger Eye’ design on the rear end of the machines.

The machines which come in operating weights ranging from 1.7 to 5.5-tonnes feature ultra clean and fuel-efficient Stage V diesel engines, and offer increased hydraulic capabilities and improved operator comfort.

The focal point of the stand was Hyundai’s prototype HW155H hydrogen fuel cell powered 14-tonne class wheeled excavator, which uses the same technology as the company uses in its hydrogen powered cars.

Other machines of note included the new HW150ACR a compact radius wheeled excavator which was sporting a TAB boom and Engcon tiltrotator.

Powered by a Stage V emissions compliant Cummins B4.5 engine offering a power rating of 129kw, the machine has been designed to meet the challenges of working in and around urban job sites where space is limited. It’s especially useful when working on single lane closures during road works projects as its reduced tailswing enables it to slew safely in a confined space.

At the other end of the scale was Hyundai’s range topping hydraulic excavator the HX900LC which competes in the 90-tonne class sector, and the HA45 articulated hauler which was first revealed at Hillhead Show earlier this year.
