Hilliard Civils add a HX210AL to the Fleet

Nottingham based Hilliard Civils has continued to invest in Hyundai hydraulic excavators by adding a new Stage 5 emissions compliant 22-tonne class HX210AL to its excavator portfolio.

Hilliard Civils add a HX210AL to the Fleet

Launched earlier this year, the HX210A is a slimmed-down version of the popular HX220A model featuring a 240mm narrower upper structure. There is also a 40mm reduction in the rear overhang, which Hyundai says enhances stability and makes the machine suitable for working on confined construction sites and also working by the side of the road or motorway project.

The new model is not a direct competitor for the HX220A model, but is marketed as a cost-effective alternative, primarily aimed at the general hire sector.

I travelled to a Hilliard Civils site in Worksop to see the new machine in action, following on from a visit to a site in Grimsby to see other examples of the companies Hyundai fleet in action, I’ll be reporting further on this in a fleet focus article in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine, but in the first instance and for the purpose of this blog, lets take a look at the HX210AL with Hyundai product specialist Gert Peeters in this walk-around video.
