How long before it's John Deere excavator time?

We have waited a long time for John Deere to re-enter the UK market, so far, we have seen motor graders and wheeled loaders enter service here, but I don’t know of any excavators making it out into the field thus far.

How long before it's John Deere excavator time?

The US giant had a big display at Conexpo in Las Vegas earlier this year, however, it was one area I never got to see for some reason, only making it to the indoor stand to see the all-new electric 14/15-tonne class machine.

Deere launched its latest P-Tier and G-Tier mid-sized excavator models to their range last year, and in addition as part of its Performance Tiering Strategy, it has added the 135, 210, 245, 250, 300 and 345 models to its line-up of P-Tier excavators.

The new 200 G-Tier is powered by a 4.5-liter engine and Deere says it offers, “optimal performance for operators of all skill levels.”

According to the company, the excavator has easy-to-maintain, high-uptime exhaust filters to help decrease downtime for service while the in-monitor adjustable flow and pressure auxiliary hydraulics can be controlled using the auxiliary function lever.

These new machines are said to be built by Deere from the ground up following the spilt from the long-standing JV with Hitachi.

It will be interesting to see and indeed spend some time in the seat of a Deere excavator.
