Hyundai faithful

In this blog I am going to post a few more photos from my Earthmovers site visits to see Birmingham based M Lambe Construction, who are long term users of Hyundai excavators.

It’s fair to say that M Lambe’s initial attraction to the Hyundai product was price which was described as extremely competitive. It also fair comment that for the price you pay you do get a lot of machine for your money. Michael Lambe Jnr also commented that his operators all enjoy the in cab creature comforts that come as standard in all Hyundai machines and as we all know a happy operator is a productive operator. The operator of this R60CR-9 was using the machine to grade base tarmac and described the machine as one of the best he had used for fine grading. One of those operators is Sean Butler, who has been with the company for a staggering 31 years! Sean’s loyalty to the company as an operator is rewarded on a regular basis by him always being given a new machine to operate. His current mount is a 14 tonne class R145LCR-9A compact radius model which he described a great all round machine. At the Spirit Quarters development in Coventry we caught up with a number of M Lambe’s excavators from an ever expanding fleet which currently exceeds 46 Hyundai machines. Largest machine on this project was a 21 tonne class R210LC-9 model which was busy loading fill at the time of my visit. Another example of the many R145LCR-9A’s on the Lambe fleet was busy pulling up old concrete and loading it away on a dumper as he prepared the ground for new foundations to be marked out. Hyundai mini excavators are also represented in the fleet with this 3.5 tonne class zero tailswing R35Z-9 displaying its agility and climbing power on site. It was clear to see that Lambe have a very good working relationship with their Hyundai dealer Molson and this looks set to continue with an on-going fleet renewal programme already in place.
