Hyundai Short Swing Wheelie is the Star

Among the products revealed by Hyundai Construction Equipment during Bauma, in Munich last year, was the all-new HW150ACR 16-tonne class compact radius wheeled excavator.

The machine which was featured on the front cover of the June edition of Earthmovers Magazine, has more recently been starring on the demonstration plot close to Hyundai Construction Equipment’s European headquarters in Tessenderlo, Belgium, along with a number of other brand-new A-Series products which were launched at a star-studded event, with dealers attending from all over Europe, along with invited members of the press and social media content creators.

Dan Gilkes wrote the feature in the magazine, and spent some time in the seat of the new machine, but in a video posted on Earthmovers You Tube channel, I have noticed that my German friend, and contributor to this blog, Dirk Bömer, was also in attendance and can be seen operating the machine in his distinctive orange jacket, really putting the machine through its paces!

Dirk is a full-time contractor in Germany and as a side-line also writes machine reviews for the long-established German machinery publication bd baumaschinenienst, so in many ways he is treading a similar path to the one I took when I started on this journey back in 2008 with the Digger Blog as it was then, hosted on the Contract Journal website.
