It’s Royal Cornwall Show Time

It’s nearly that time of the year, when virtually the whole of Cornwall comes to a halt for the prestigious Royal Cornwall Show which takes place across 3 days, on the 5th, 6th and 7th of June at the vast showground in Wadebridge.

I will be attending the Royal Cornwall Show as usual but only on the first day this time around due to other commitments, however I will be doing my best to get around to all the usual construction machinery trade stands to bring a flavour of the event to the blog as I have done for many years now.

This will be the first year that former regulars of the show PES (Plant and Engineering Services) will not be attending, which will feel rather strange and also mean that we won’t be seeing much in the way of machines from the Volvo Construction Equipment brand, who used to share some stand space with them. However, I am assured that there will be a very special Volvo CE excavator on another stand for us all to enjoy! 

However, most of the regulars will still be there, including Holt JCB the long standing JCB dealer for the South West, who amongst numerous machines, will present the one millionth JCB backhoe loader, a limited edition 4CX which will be a sight to see.

I’m also looking forward to catching up with two of the companies who kindly sponsored my car wrap, namely MPS South West Ltd, the Hidromek and Holp GmbH dealers, and Conagri who are dealing in a wide range of machines including Sunward and the latest addition to the portfolio Venieri.  

Others that I always look forward to visiting include CBL, M&M Plant, Machine Serve, Kellands Plant Sales, Vincents and a whole host of others.

The show is a must for locals and tourists alike, and is one of the largest agricultural shows in the country, so you’d be mad to miss it!
