Latest Bespoke Livery Pays Homage to Rob Burrow

West Yorkshire based HH Construction Groundworks Contractors Ltd have become even more famous lately for its one-of-a-kind livery designs which are appearing on its ever-expanding fleet of JCB machines.

Latest Bespoke Livery Pays Homage to Rob Burrow

Managing Director John Handforth is historically a big JCB fan and a great customer of local dealers TC Harrison JCB. In recent years John has instigated a series of bespoke liveries for new machines as they are delivered, who can forget the wonderful Union Jack themed 245XR machine that we reported on in Earthmovers Magazine, and the stunning all black 220XLC emblazoned with Castleford Tigers rugby league team logos.

More recent ideas have focused on sporting superstars like boxing legend Tyson Fury and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.

The latest design which has been rolled out on a JCB 140XLC pays homage to the former Leeds Rhino player Rob Burrow, who played for the Super League club side for 16 years, and was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2019, just two years after ending his playing career.

Sporting the Leeds Rhino colours of blue and yellow, the wrap also features Rob’s iconic number 7 which was his squad shirt number.

The new machine will be a focal point to raise money for Rob and the firm have set up a Just Giving page, which you can find and donate on by clicking the link.

What a fantastic way to salute and support a local sporting icon, massive respect must go to John and all the team at HH Construction, their friends over at Caddick Construction and TC Harrison JCB for making this happen.

Let's just remind ourselves of what a sporting legend Rob Burrows was and continues to be to this day, what a player, what a man and what an inspiration!

A man much like myself really, short in stature, but with massive determination and a lions heart!
