Liebherr’s Big Boy

Bauma, the largest construction machinery trade fair in the world, is just a matter of weeks away now and as usual the largest stand looks set to be Liebherr’s stunning venue.

From observing the Bauma webcam it doesn’t look as if Liebherr have one of their usual, focal point, giant dumptrucks on the stand this year, although it does look as if the new 100-tonne offering the T 236 will be presented on the stand an example of which we saw on field trials in the giant Erzberg mine in Austria back in 2017.

Liebherr’s largest Ultra Class mining truck is the 363-tonne class T 284 which according to Liebherr offers the lowest empty vehicle weight, which enables it to carry the highest payload in its class. The MTU engine delivers a massive 4,000hp! Check out this promotional video from Liebherr for the full picture!
