Limping around on one track

It often surprises me to see footage more often than not taken in third world countries where excavators are being used with just one track on, this compilation video I came across is a prime example.

It’s probably fair to say that a lot of kit being used in these territories would have been long discarded in the UK market, where its common place to renew the machine every 3 – 4 years. But these guys know how to make older kit run and run with something with over 10,000 hours on the meter being regarded as a nearly new machine! We often see videos of guys attempting to put a track back on using the bucket but in this video they appear to have given up putting them back on at all, instead opting to limp around the job or on and off a truck using the one active track!
