LiuGong Go Green for 2023 Dealer Conference

Chinese manufacturer LiuGong recently held their latest dealer conference in China which coincided with the company’s celebration of 65 years in business.

LiuGong Go Green for 2023 Dealer Conference

These events in China always seem to evade me personally, but in this game, we always know somebody who is attending, and who very kindly is willing to share some images of the latest machines coming down the line.

In line with most manufacturers these days, there appears to have been a strong focus on electric machines at the conference. Some of the first electric LiuGong machines we saw previously were sporting an all-white livery, that colour scheme transitioned to silver on the excavators, but they now seem to have settled with this almost fluorescent green colour for the electric range.

No less than 10 new electric machines were presented which included the 870HE wheeled loader. This machine, which they describe as powerful and energy efficient, uses a dual-motor, and electric gearbox which has been developed by LiuGong in-house.

It does feel like the electric version 922F hydraulic excavator has been around for quite some time in its various guises, the one that really sticks in my mind was the one that featured a really radical and unique design, nicknamed “Reggie” by the UK based design team. However, it was ultimately decided to stick with the more traditional excavator design that we see here today with the 922F-E model.

Also presented was the new 973F tracked material handler, there is not much detail available on this machine, but clearly designed for portside bulk material handling and other similar applications.

An all-new electric powered single drum vibratory roller, the 6622E-E was also shown to visitors, once again, we don’t have much detail on this machine at time of writing.

Away from all the electric machines visitors got first sight on the new T-Series of wheeled loading shovels with the 870T being a star attraction.

In total 162 machines were presented during the event, with over 50 being totally brand-new products. Checkout the video from LiuGong below.
