Regular daily maintenance of the machines we operate is crucial to the machine’s longevity, and ultimately can save the owner significant amounts of money over the machines working life.

Unfortunately, many machines don’t get the tender love and care they deserve these days, especially those in the self-drive sector, that more often than not get abused by drivers who either don’t care or don’t know how to maintain a machine in the correct manner.

Fortunately, our friends at Bobcat are on hand to assist and have produced a series of videos featuring daily maintenance routines for a wide variety of their machines. Although the videos are naturally focused on Bobcat products, they could apply to any brand of machine in the market.

Guiding us through the daily procedures in the video below focusing on the E16 and E19 mini excavator models is Tomáš Mrkvička a very well-known face and a Field Product Trainer at Doosan Bobcat. Tomáš is also often seen demonstrating the Bobcat machines at the various International trade shows around the world. 

Some of the features are a little bit over the top, like checking the warning stickers every day, but overwhelmingly the video promotes good practices that should be implemented as best as possible.

Of course, as we all know, in the real world, more often than not there’s some aggressive black hat character chasing you to get the machine working, no matter what, but you will get the idea!
