Lord Muck’s Top Tips for buying a Used Excavator

Our old mate Lord Muck aka Kurt Mills is back with yet another video that I feel will be of great interest to the Digger Man Blog community.

During one of his visits to the Ritchie Bros UK auction facility in Maltby, Lord Muck decided to take a look around a used Kubota U-55 mini excavator and to offer us his top tips on what to look out for when you are considering buying a used machine, not only at an auction, but in the general marketplace.

As we all know, it can be a minefield if you don’t know what you are looking for, fortunately, most people in the industry are pretty well clued up on the signs to look for, but for those who want to learn more, this video offers a lot of useful inside track information.

In this video the focus is on a Kubota machine, but of course, the same principles apply across all excavators from different manufacturers.
